WHAT IS IT?
Bags and excess skin on the eyelids are a consequence of the passage of time, they greatly influence the expression of your eyes and can result in an image of a fatigued person. The blepharoplasty is the definitive surgery to correct these age-related changes and achieve a more energetic and rested look without affecting facial expression.
WHAT IS IT FOR?
The surgical procedure is based on the removal of excess skin from the upper eyelids (upper blepharoplasty) and/or the removal of fat pads from the lower eyelids (lower blepharoplasty).
POSTOPERATIVE
After a blepharoplasty, as after any eyelid surgery, the presence of a hematoma and some swelling on the eyelids is normal. The amount of hematoma depends on the type of surgery and the patient, but in general they are mild and gradually subside in 1-2 weeks. The blepharoplasty recovery will be painless and relatively quick.
PERIOCULAR REJUVENATION WITH BOTULINUM TOXIN
WHAT IS IT?
The botulinum toxin is a purified protein of natural origin that, when applied to the muscles, relaxes them and prevents their contraction.
WHAT IS IT FOR?
The botulinum toxin injections allow you to relax facial muscles and improve expression wrinkles (those caused by gesticulation), such as crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles or frown lines. With a good application, the results are very natural. We achieve a lifting effect, with less tense face and looking more rested, the features more softened and with fewer wrinkles. Furthermore, it is a way not only to treat already established expression wrinkles, but also to prevent them.
DURATION
The periocular rejuvenation with botulinum toxin is performed on an outpatient basis in a single session lasting approximately 20 minutes and you can return to your usual routine immediately. This kind of facial rejuvenation with botulinum toxin usually lasts between 3 and 6 months. To maintain the rejuvenating effect, the ideal is to repeat the treatment every 4 to 5 months, before the previous application completely disappears.
